Ημερίδα «Euroscola 30 Οκτωβρίου 2015»

Το Γραφείο του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου στην Κύπρο ανέθεσε στο σχολείο μας γενικό συντονιστικό ρόλο για την οργάνωση αποστολής μαθητών στο Στρασβούργο στα πλαίσια της ημερίδας «Euroscola 30 Οκτωβρίου 2015». Η αποστολή αποτελείτο από 24 μαθητές από τους οποίους οι 8 ήταν από το σχολείο μας και τρεις καθηγητές (συνοδούς). Γενικό συντονιστικό ρόλο είχε ο καθηγητής Πληροφορικής του σχολείου μας κος Βάκης Ιωακείμ. Οι 8 μαθητές επιλέχτηκαν μετά από διαγωνισμό που έγινε στο σχολείο μας τον Ιούνιο του 2015 και είναι οι παρακάτω:

Στην αίθουσα του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου παρουσίασαν την Κυπριακή αποστολή οι μαθήτριες του σχολείου μας Χαρίτωνος Σταύρια Γ5 και Νεοφύτου Βαρβάρα Β5.

Hello my dear friends.
We are grateful to be here, today, among all of you.
We represent the beautiful island of Cyprus.
Cyprus, is an independent island nation in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. The northern part is occupied by Turkish troops since nineteen seventy four(1974).
We are students from Limassol, Paphos and Nicosia.
Limassol is the second largest city of Cyprus and the southern in Europe.
Paphos is a city in the southwest of Cyprus and it has been declared as the European Capital of Culture for two thousand seventeen(2017).
Nicosia is the capital of Cyprus and unfortunately the only remaining divided capital in the world.
We strongly hope that a solution based on the principles of human rights and fundamental freedoms, that the EU cherishes and praises so much, will be found soon so that Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots can live together peacefully.
Also, we hope that we will find solutions to the major problems facing Europe such as economic crisis, unemployment, migration and others problems.
Finally, we would like to thank for your invitation and the opportunity to share this day with young people from other European countries.
